A Tour of Plant One circa 1929
In June of 1929 a series of photographs were taken of plant one, the oldest manufacturing facility in Toledo Scale's growing empire of factories. These photographs provide a unique and remarkable glimpse into the production process at Toledo Scale, a production process that still retained much of the artisanship and hand assembly methods that had been abandoned by many manufacturers in that era of Fordism.
